Leading virtual teams – overcoming the biggest challenges

With Barbara Liebermeister, leadership expert, IFIDZ, the Insitute for Leadership Culture in the digital age, author and lecturer at the Bucerius Law School in Hamburg

Wednesday, 16 February 2022
3:00 – 4:30 pm CET

Traditional management styles no longer apply in environments of innovation, constant change and high levels of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity (VUCA).

Digitalization enables us to collaborate across borders. And whether via e-mail, Skype or WhatsApp, managers are increasingly communicating digitally with their employees, colleagues and superiors. This change in work and communication structures also requires a change in leadership behavior.

Topics to be discussed:

  • In a constantly changing world, what is the right mindset and the new paradigm required for leadership?
  • How can managers lead virtual teams easily?
  • How do they ensure effective communication and collaboration when they no longer meet their employees and colleagues, or only very rarely?
  • How can the necessary team spirit be created?  How to build the teams and structure of a winning organization?
  • What does this mean for an interdisciplinary team like product development teams are?
  • How can employees then be developed?

Answers to such questions, leadership tools, tips and tricks can be found in our deep-dive workshop “Leading virtual teams – leading at a distance”.
