We had the pleasure to interview Frédéric Filloux, journalist, entrepreneur, tech and media expert. We spoke about the opportunities that news media has in the digital age, about threats from the big platforms, the importance of content uniqueness and reconnecting to the reader and last but not least about how critical a fast shift to new technologies is for the future of news media. Frédéric believes in the importance of journalism and more crucially, the importance of the notion of informed citizen.
“I mean, the news ecosystem in the future would be much more fragmented in each country… You will still have very solid brands, great quality newspaper or a radio, TV and stuff which are going to provide good journalism.”
