Your Journey from Vision to Mission to Strategy

Define the destination. Forge new convictions and a new DNA better adapted to new opportunities. Longevity, relevance, engagement, growth; what will be the priorities for your media and for your roadmap? How do you translate your vision into a coherent strategy? What goals and what tactics should your organisation adopt?

Revisiting the “raison d’être” of your media, your targets, and your mission in order to ensure that strategies and initiatives are aligned with your vision.

Define a vision for your media based on that “raison d’être” – the DNA of your organization. Where do you see yourself in 3 to 5 years? What do you absolutely have to get done in order to get there? What need to be true?

Develop strategies based on these new objectives and metrics in order to steer your business towards the realization of your goals.

Take the time to examine now only who you are, but more importantly who you are not. What is the reason for your existence? Who do you want to be tomorrow?

  • What audience are you targeting? What are their information needs? How much of their needs do you want to cover?
  • Let us define your vision and 4 or 5 important pillars for success.
  • That is the thought process required to set your goals, your strategies and choose the right tactics.
  • Use a simple S.M.T. (Strategy-Metrics-Tactics) approach for your information strategies.
  • How to define appropriate metrics for relevant information? Making metrics your allies for newsroom success.

Workshop 1
Creating the first draft of your strategic plan, your DNA, your 5-year vision and your 3-year strategic pillars.

Workshop 2
